I know this is quite old, but i encountered the same problem. I had localhost written in my config.json, but changed it to my domain. I still get GET http://localhost:4567/plugins/nodebb-plugin-emoji-extended/images/smile.png net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED I also restarted my server with the admin gui - is a hard restart or reinstallation necessary for the changes to take effect?

There is an issue open to add areas, but for now, you have to add them yourself. https://github.com/NodeBB/nodebb-theme-persona/issues/69 If you just want to change some css, you can use the class that is added to the body tag, and add to the custom css section ike so: body.page-recent div[data-widget="theWidgetName"] { color: orange; }

Do note that nodebb is a forum platform, not a CMS. I've seen some awful attempts at trying to shovel a CMS into a forum platform in my time. SMF springs to mind.

It depends on what kind of audience you have in my opinion, as example if you have a forum that is generally for a open discussion and supporting each other I would keep it open.

@soulz2003 as you probably noticed. The behavior is that a user automatically gets a notification if he makes the topic. Additional users can follow the topic by pressing the follow button(the eye icon)

@a3d Okay, my fork should work now. You'll need to install manually, it's been months since I've heard from Sam, so idk when the PR will be added. npm install git+https://github.com/yariplus/nodebb-theme-persona.git#creepr If you just want to add subcategories to your own theme, the needed changes are in my last commit.
