@a_5mith submit an issue 😉
It does not support groups, because the NodeBB chat also doesn't support it. The framework I use for it supports it though.
Final week of uni, will try to look at it next week.
I am looking for more information on nodebb hosting offer. Can anyone guide me where I can find it? I am primarily want to know if I can map my domain to nodebb hosted service
The offers are on this page. https://nodebb.org/pricing
If I remember from previous posts they have to setup the domain for you themselves currently, but I am pretty sure it can be done. If you need more information from them you will likely be able to get a hold of them quicker by emailing sales@nodebb.org.
@HolyPhoenix Actually, as I've discovered, you can just use a CNAME to map directly to your instance_id.nodebb.com
domain. So the answer is yes
@Sagar Feel free to reach out to us at sales@nodebb.org and we can talk about hosting options for you!
Cool, next time somebody asks and I get to it first I will point out this post then.
Hahah, you beat me by a good 13 minutes. Keep up the good work!
@julian Have you guys thought about doing smaller hosting packages/plans because right now the smallest is $35/ month which is good value for 1k members. But for new projects it will take you a while to get close to that, so it makes more sense to go with a cheaper option such as digital ocean for $5 a month.
If you had more competitive prices I feel more people would use use your hosting as it would save them the hassle of going through digital ocean etc. I know I would go with you guys if there was a smaller plan available.
Maybe something like $8/ month for 200 members?
@julian Sounds good, hopefully the interest is there because it would be great. But it should seen as most people right now are using nodebb for new projects, down the road I hope to use nodebb on a bigger community of mine (5k+ members).
It definitelywill be a nice way to test out his poll plugin
@julian soon... When it's functioning properly I'll make a repo for it on Github so people who really need it can use a somewhat stable plugin and so that others can improve my shitty code and add features
@julian I'm currently on a $5 digital ocean plan, but I'd gladly pay 50% more ($8 a month hee hee) or even 140% more ($12!) to support you guys.
