@PitaJ Thank you! I followed the steps and after v1.4.0 when I checked back into v1.x.x and ran ./nodebb upgrade I received this error now: error: Build failed: Unexpected character '' It seems i only get this on v1.4.4 I reverted back to v1.4.3 and it seems to be fine for now

@Kowlin Eh, the way I see it, email and other assorted protocols were developed back when there were no other protocols or similar services to build off of, so it was really just the wild west. Also, it seems everybody trusted one another and nobody expected spam to even exist, so it was never conditioned for, so now we have all of these bolt-on things you have to do to make sure your mail isn't sent straight to the spam bin... SPF records, DKIM signing, etc... It's a miracle email actually still works the way it does.

I have updated to 0.9.2 now and it seams fine

@SimonQ You can re-enable gravatar functionality by installing nodebb-plugin-gravatar.

@SimonQ I am not using the last version of this plugin (I made a fork when the regex issue arised) so I could not reproduce your problem. So I just tried on a testing version of the forum I am in charge and I observe the same behaviour. So it is not just you. I suppose it is a question of tweaking the css though. I will try to have look but I am VERY far to be an expert.

If you removed node_modules then you need to reinstall it using npm i nodebb-plugin-emailer-mandrill. The reason it doesn't show up in acp plugin list is because of the latest changes to nbbpm. See here for details.

Is there a way to set the default daily digest settings for all current users and any future registered users for the site? The default seems to be off but, I would like to change that to weekly if it is possible. Thanks!

Thanks @julian! The code is a bit daunting and I don't want to risk breaking anything at the moment. Is there any other way for me to change the og:image meta property? I tried adjusting my logo size but, that just made my logo smaller because of NodeBB's resizing in the header.

You'll have to ask @psychobunny if it's not working any more (I haven't tested), but this https://www.npmjs.com/package/nodebb-plugin-custom-pages Should be what you need, install it like any other plugin. GLHF.

@julian This may sound silly but, if I were to place the dump.rdb file back into /var/lib/redis (from my NodeBB install) and reset my server from there would anything horrible go wrong?

@Arindam-sarkar remember: you need open firewall config for default nodebb port http://nodebb.readthedocs.io/en/latest/installing/os/centos.html Assuming you kept the default port setting, you need to allow it through the firewall. firewall-cmd --zone=public --add-port=4567/tcp --permanent firewall-cmd --reload

Thanks @julian I am using a Mac at the moment to run this locally on my machine. The config you're referring to is the config.json found in the root folder? I can "redis-server" in the root of my nodebb project with a config.json file inside it. Sorry for not providing enough info, still new to this
