It is a big problem with Redis
-
Hi!
I install and long used Nodebb on Redis base data, but to me achieve this, it was necessary to set up vps, very specifically, I do not know how, because of what the server is constantly falling. We are talking about the ill-fated parameter vm.overcommit_memory = 1What do you advise? Move everything on mongodb? Or there are other options.
The base is very large, as if not to lose. Transfer - very difficult to perform an option.

I had a lot of issues with redis as well, so I moved to MongoDB and haven't had a single issue since. I would highly recommend migrating to MongoDB.

What problems, if not secret?
-
If it so many problems, why it is recommended to use?

Remove and forget about the fact that it exists at all @administrators

It worked fine for about a year, then it randomly crashed on it's own. I would have to reinstall it to get it back up and running. But it would happen again after a few days.

@HolyPhoenix You have been set to vm.overcommit_memory = 1?
-
redis and nodebb are stable, but always falls apache and mysql

@julian thanks, but all properties on any VPS "permission denied on key":
$ cat /proc/sys/vm/swappiness 60 $ sudo sysctl vm.swappiness=10 sysctl: permission denied on key 'vm.swappiness'
And with the memory seems to be all right:
