How to do that?
Not implemented, but if it is, it should be optional, a simple on or off.
The composer is OK, but it's not great and it's at the core of what people do on here. Especially people running non-technical forums. I'd like to suggest nodebb invest in the Redactor editor instead. It's demo is quite spectacular:
Would love to know everyone's thoughts!
This already exists
@psychobunny Ye, exist but u gotta pay $100 for that first, lol. What about you guys buy OEM license and give it free in NodeBB?
everyone loves a trier!
I've never seen it before, it's rather nifty.
@psychobunny It exists but it is a bit buggy, lacking any decent instructions for new users, doesn't work past 0.5. There's a fork for 0.6 but it's still very much a fringe plugin.
Are there any plugin devs on here you'd recommend? I have some spare USD resource in my freelancer.com account I'd happily spend on a dev to bring it up to standard for me.

don't even try, it doesn't work, we payed for redactor license but is near impossible to parse all markdown code to get redactor working
@exodo You forked the repo and tried to do your own, right? Is there no way to get it working? What was the problem(s) you encountered?
Emailed the NodeBB Team directly to discuss getting Redactor into the app's core. Would make the forum's content so much more flexible, especially for non-tech people (Marketing departments etc) who want to make feature-rich content as the initial post on a thread.
@Drew-Llewellyn We've reached out to the Redactor team to see if we can get started on this
@julian I've bought and emailed your team the OEM licensed version of Redactor.
@Drew-Llewellyn wow you rich buddy! Thanks!
@Drew-Llewellyn that is incredible. Thanks!!
Yes, thanks @Drew-Llewellyn! Looking forward to seeing what we can do with this...
Woo Hoo !
haha don't get your hopes up yet, we still need to see if it's feasible or not. Fortunately @Drew-Llewellyn has a 30 day guarantee so if we can't figure it out no harm done.
That said, I really love it so it'll be great to have it implemented here
Yeah, it's such a good tool and for people creating a content driven forum website it'll be really helpful for making high quality well formatted content. So glad this is happening!
Really cool, guys! Looking forward to what you'll come up with!
Some sneak peeks from our dev work on the new composer
@julian it looks nice. Good work, keep it up.
