@PitaJ Why does it appear to me it installs neither redis or mongo?
edit: found this post https://community.nodebb.org/topic/4325/set-up-nodebb-via-environment-variables
I had a go at setting up nodebb and it seems to have installed alright and the desktop version seems to work fine. However on my Motorola XT316 Android phone whenever I try to post anything it cause the web browser to freeze. When I try to log in it causes the web browser to do a download which I found quite odd but the download would always fail. Does anyone know if Android version 2.3.4 is a supported platform for NodeBB?
NodeBB should work adequately on an Android smartphone, but we haven't tested anything below 4.2, so 2.3.4 might be a little old. In a pinch, you could disable javascript in order to enter read-only mode, which might offer a better experience for older devices.
Just tried this on a stupendously old htc hero running villain rom v13, it's slow, and I had to cancel 8 SSL warnings, the icons don't display, but the site appears functional. Browser version is WebKit 3.1 if that helps.
My god how did we live with phones this slow back then..
Working fine on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Just that not all icons on tiles are displayed properly.

Is that Android 2.3 Gingerbread or Android 4.3 Jelly Bean?
Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
I had an old shitbox phone running 2.3 gingerbread back when we first started building NodeBB, and it worked fine. Did have some issues with sockets, although we've addressed that recently. That said, if anybody is having problems with a specific OS/device please open up an issue on GitHub, and if you're willing to help us debug I'm sure we can try and figure it out for you
Tested before on my Samsuck Space Monster 55 or whatever it's called and it worked great for me.
@splat I was having a few problems with mobile but was all fixed when I deleted cookies on my mobile browser.
I'm having some issues posting but that might be a cache issue again.
Cleared cache and still not able to post. This could be a theme issue too.
Here I am, posting on my Galaxy Nexus

I didn't know what my phone is/specs but I just checked for sake of adding info here:
Galaxy Nexus
Android ver: 4.2.2
@Steve why... That's my phone! Didn't know I owned a samsuck
I too have a Galaxy Nexus, but I am on Android 4.3.
