I added the bottom bar to lavender and vanilla as well, the side menu is persona only for now.

@baris thanks I'll pull it tomorrow from git and fix the categories as you've said. It's not a big problem, more an oddity that occurred - thank you. And I really should raise bugs like this on GitHub!

I think it very much depends on the type of discussion you're having. It works really well for Q&A forums, as there's always a right and wrong answer, but once you start delving into highly opinionated topics, then the popular opinions are the ones that make it to the top, and you begin to see things like vote brigading and the concept of a "hivemind".

I checked the solution and it works ! , thank you very much, though I applied the change on the file directly because if I update the whole project the emailer-local stops working... but I guess that's a complete different issue ^_^ .

Are you using nodebb-plugin-import?
That seems like the only one worth a shot today from what i can find.

Simply follow the instructions in the README, there are some handy tips there for converting BBcode and such aswell.

Sure having a separate database server is recommended, but really not needed - you should backup your dumps externally just in case if you don't though.
If you're going with redis, this may be useful for that cause.

This probably isn'tthe most helpful post, as i haven't migrated from another software myself, but i'm trying to help in possible ways.

When users are member of a group they can select which group to show as a badge from their user settings

Thanks for the tips, I will check that those don't affect anything - on the whole the domain change was relatively painless.

Apache was absolutely fine, setting up two domains on a single server was far easier than I thought it'd be.

@connick out of curiosity, can you release some details?

I suspect there will be a lot of customized stuff that we end up with when we actually do the import (though to be fair, while I think NodeBB is our leading candidate, it's not a done deal yet). We did a partial import from CS to Discourse, so a lot of the user deconfliction has already been worked through.

Most of what we do seems to be non-traditional. 😄

I've embedded the forum into the iframe of my website and am currently using Facebook SSO. However, whenever I try to log into Facebook, it redirects me to the Facebook page then to my nodebb website after signing in. Does anyone know how to make the Facebook SSO redirect to my website or have the FB login be a popup window?
