Hi, I work in an environment where there are two nodeBB instances : integration and production. Integration is where I've tested all features, graphic design, etc. My commmunity is now ready to go into production. I would like to dump all the configuration I've fine tuned in the config platform without the content, i.e. users and posts (which are all dummy, made for testing purpose). I've searched the nodeBB forum, and I've only found ways to dump the entire database (config AND content). This will also help me in the future: I would like to keep my integration platform to test new configurations and push them to the production once tested. Thanks for your help Lance

No, it is not possible. Github pages is a service to host static pages only. Since nodebb need a database and server side code to run, you can not host it on github.io. There are some free hosting solutions that you cn use instead like for example openshift (there are more but i dont remember names right now, theres some posts on this community about them, try to search nodebb free hosting). You can also try cloud9, theres a nice tutorial made by @pichalite Setting up NodeBB on cloud 9 https://community.nodebb.org/topic/7983/setting-up-nodebb-on-cloud-9

The good old "orange/not orange" discussion. We had this a lot with our colour scheme at https://BitBangers.co.uk I think it is Orange, other people think its red. We ended up with OrangeRed.

I know that @scottalanmiller is running a relatively high traffic forum on nodebb. A lot depends on various factors like if you're running a CDN, what plugins you're running, and any other processes running on the node. On my setup, I was running a cluster of three, with a gocamo server, along with redis (for session storage) and mongo, along with (at the time) mysql.

You create the custom pages under the plugins=>custom pages page. You would enter myhome as the route for your page. Then save and go the the extend=>widgets page to add widgets to your page.

It depends on how active your forum is... this forum only uses about 130mb for MongoDB, although there's a bit more taken up due to backups, etc. Moving from one host to another is fine... just save the database (via mongodump) and the contents of public/uploads

I'm really looking forward to seeing something different in regards to the layout for nodebb and this screenshot shows promise. Something other than the "traditional" style topic list. Can't wait to see the final theme completed and officially released by @trevor [image: WSJmMJQ.png]

@Bri I've never used the 3rd party Swype app so not sure how it compares but I'm guessing that gboard for iPhone is using the same gesture typing that comes standard on pure Android devices. So used to gestures that it's awkward using standard typing.

Is there a way I can assign the "Admin Approval" to another group other than the administrators System Group ? I'd like to create a new Moderators group and assign the approval task to those members ? Thanks.
