@pichalite I see. edit the theme template Yes, that's probably what I need, but is there a guide for this specifically? I tried looking at the theme and I got lost.

@torn2 edit the theme template to remove the link to the topic if the user is a guest so they can't get to the topic page.

I know that you can edit the time of the cronJob in \src\user\jobs.js, but I'm not sure if you can do a forced digest.

The poster needs to set their group label in their user settings. It can be set to show nothing at all.

@whitts Have you find a solution ? I have the same error when i try to open the events page. Edit : Resolved the bug by the deletion of events data from mongodb. @yariplus Ah...I was doing it on version 0.9.4 which did not have mongodb dependency listed in package.json. Had to install manually. Thanks.

Just needed that recently, https://github.com/wzrdtales/nodebb-plugin-ldap-override But note that this is a complete override of the default login, the nodebb internal accounts are not going to work anymore.

After your friendly replies i would like to give an update. I did play with phpbb and its really nothing to go these days. It feels like stepping 20 years back compared to the nodeBB user experience. What i am doing now is to refactor my game on base of angular2 stack and to add a a very small forum like messaging feature myself. I think this will be the best solution because it seamingless fits into my application. You are doing a great job here and if i ever search for a real forum again i will come back
