Is there a way for a private category to show the topics in that category, yet not the actual post unless you are a registered user?

@torn2 you mean... make the topic title a link to the topic only if the user is logged in?

@pichalite I want visitors to see the topic titles in visible categories, but not be able to read the actual post when they click on the topic.

@torn2 edit the theme template to remove the link to the topic if the user is a guest so they can't get to the topic page.

use nodebb-plugin-write-api and you can create how many post you like using ajax instead

PS: creating your own posts doesn't mean your site will be any good. It will look "not poor", but it will be anyway.

It is a bit different from the navigation features that are on top, because it actually changes the layout of the site.

There is already pagination customization feature in the use profile. I think that is perhaps a better place for it.

Having a shortcut like that on the home page seem pretty nifty, but right now it is very hard to discover. If we group a few features in the widget on the bottom right and made it a bit more discoverable, that could also work well.

But I would recommend against putting anything like that in the nav bar on top.

Not really -- as mentioned prior, the reason this is impossible is because the redis database doesn't usually live in a place that is readable by NodeBB.

I can't actually watch/favourite, it gives me the "need to be logged in" error, but then redirects me to a 404. This forum doesn't have watch as a guest, but yours does, not sure if it's an ACP setting, but I don't recall seeing it. I've got a few bugs I've spotted whilst using my iPad that I'm going to put onto GitHub, but I'll do some more testing later into guest permissions.

Edit:sorry, when I said replying and voting are fine, I meant they don't redirect, I can't actually reply or vote. 😄 I need sleep.
