Haha I guess I'm (was?) old fashioned too. As you know @HolyPhoenix I've spent a ton of time with phpBB. I was totally going to go forward with BBCode for NodeBB when we first wrote it until @julian stepped in. Fortunately I'm lazy so he wrote the first MD plugin against my original wishes :p. Worked out in the end though, I'm glad we went this way. As for a BBCode based composer? Totally possible as of recent developments (v0.4.2+), one could potentially write a plugin to modify the composer and such. If anybody wants to write that let me know, I also wrote a BBCode to Markdown plugin which could be useful as well.

Actually, I meant the browser cache. Anything NodeBB caches server-side is cleared when it is rebooted

I can't actually watch/favourite, it gives me the "need to be logged in" error, but then redirects me to a 404. This forum doesn't have watch as a guest, but yours does, not sure if it's an ACP setting, but I don't recall seeing it. Third-party email server is still encouraged (e.g. Mandrill, PostageApp). I don't believe anybody uses the local email plugin, but I could be wrong!

For some reason spam registrations have dropped drastically. I noticed it 3 days before I upgraded to 0.4.1. Now all those cialis, viagra, and levitra usernames no longer populate my list of users.

Fixed, i had to as suggested by several users to change my "base_url" or "url" (depends on your nodebb version). But i had to add the key "port" in the config.json as well. "url": "http://myforum.com", "port": "1234"

@julian I think Latest Users means, or should mean, the same thing as Verified Users. In other words, if an account has not been verified, it's never listed under Latest Users. Along those lines, an option that will allow the admin to enable auto-purging (auto-deleting) user accounts that have not been verified after X number of days would be nice, too.

Yeah these are jQuery/bootstrap errors, only happens in FF, and unfortunately not something that will be fixed unless we migrate to the latest jQuery (which also means we'd have to drop support for IE8). Not a big deal imo, it doesn't affect anything aside from annoy me a little when I'm debugging code
