Widget toggle per group

Is there a way to toggle widgets per groups? If not this may be a pretty functional tool for things like ads.

Example: have a gold level group where members pay a small fee and one of the benifits would be to opt out of ads or google adsene.

If this does not exist, what is the typical cost to have a plugin made?

I've seen this idea kicked around a bit, and there's some interest in it. No one's been willing to sponsor the development cost so far, and it's not a necessity for the team to put as a core feature at this time, or devote their focus on. Down the road perhaps, but if you're wanting such a solution in the near future, you would need to contact the team using the Contact Us widget on the main page.

@Ted thanks. I wonder if they would be oppose to "crowd funding" widgets where a couple of us get together and pay for widgets that we would like to see as a group.

@RazorAxis, I can't imagine there being an issue with doing so. It looks like there are several changes to groups in 0.6.1 which would need to be completed before this implementation.

What is a round about price on what new plugins cost to be developed?

@RazorAxis it wouldn't be worth it to make (or start making) the plugin until after the new group system is implemented.

Yes, as @pitaj mentions, this would be a neat addition to have after the user groups system is debugged.
