Mine isn't nearly as pretty yet, since we just got it off the ground, but I am running a small gaming community site at https://thesaltypotatoes.com
HUGE shoutout to the NodeBB team. I am hosting my forum via their service, and they helped do some awesome configuration after I set it up. Their support has been amazing so far!

I am going to use NodeBB for my Minecraft server as I don't like using outdated forum software like MyBB. Since NodeBB is so different from MyBB, I can't get it working on a regular host. I need Redis/MonoDB, Node.js, and a lot more required files. Only I can find is Koding. Sadly, it shuts down every hour in case of inactivity. However, if I can find another host or upgrade plan on Koding, I can get my forum up running everyday!
My website is at www.altimitmine.us. It is .hack-inspired Minecraft server. My team is working hard (there's only so few) building the new and current town called Mac Anu. Biggest town it will be with a lot of water around it. Then, we will set up fields and dungeons and link them with a portal known as a Chaos Gate.
Well only one thing I want NodeBB is because it have many things I need to give a better user experience. Now I'm looking for a sponsor or someone who will gladly host for us. I worked hard setting up NodeBB on Koding and so far it was amazing with latest development version (v0.7). Loving it so far.
To tell you the truth, we have so small money. Luckily, we was saved by someone in my team who set up server on his computer (which it was build from scratch) to save our money. We even are using a free host which isn't so great.
Well, I'll be glad if someone can do it for us. I'm waiting right here.

@Firelad https://docs.nodebb.org/en/latest/installing/cloud/openshift.html
This is free. Its a bit more complicated to setup though, but good enough for a small community
-
@psychobunny I know Openshift, but it's too complex. I don't know how to get that "rhc" xD
If it's to install NodeBB without "rhc," then I'm all good to go.

I have done a list on the swedish server now:
https://www.nodebb.se/topic/10/vem-anvΓ€nder-nodebb
Add your site if you can understand swedish, i will try to keep it uptodate
-
Yay - I'm running NodeBB now! The website should be http://forum.altimitmine.us/. It's for my Minecraft server that my team is working on (it's not really mine, it's my team's xD ). It's based on .hack// series. We're currently building the town called Mac Anu.

Wow, some of the forums shown here look amazing. Looks like I've got my work cut out for me. Anyway here's my setup of NodeBB: https://generalitdiscussion.com

@baris I'm totaly new with nodeBB and figuring out if i have to switch from xenforo to nodeBB. But....most of the links are dead....why is that? Not really good advertisement for nodeBB. I als o want to buy the majestic theme but that llink is also dead.....kinda strange

I don't think we update that thread often enough. The original post is like 2 years old haha. We should make it a wiki page instead so anybody can update it
Not sure about Trevor's theme he might be in the process of updating it to 0.7, you might want to contact him on his GitHub personally
-
Thats mine
Proudly running nodeBB.
I can only repeat what was previously said.
It is a great software, even though it might be a bit difficult at the beginning. The only thing I or rather my users are missing is Tapatalk integration.
However, I will find a workaround for it.And for those who care:
+350k visitors a month
+3,5k members
+20k posts
Online since September 2013.
We previously used myBB, but after "someone" manipulated the forum we decided to change to nodeBB as it is not so commonly used and so offers less vulnerability compared to myBB and other PHP forums.I also plan to switch to nodeBB for one of my other projects.
I checked some themes for nodeBB today. Even though I like the stock Lavender one, I think some darker colours wouldn't hurt.
So I checked your rocket(2) theme, but for some reason it is not compatible with the current version of the Vanilla template.
Do you plan to update it?Would be a shame to just abandon it as it looks great, at least to me.
-
Yeah the rocket theme was built around 0.3.x so it's very much out of date. I don't really have any plans to work on it, because we have so much to do for v1 of NodeBB.
If someone were interested in commissioning an update and bug fixes I would give it a shot, otherwise I won't be able to find time for theme dev until 1.0 hits. Its a cool theme though, I was building it for my own gaming forum... Too bad I don't have the time anymore to work on doing that
