the "favourite" button is technically speaking identical to a "like" button. I guess one could potentially retheme it to look that way, with a thumbs up icon as well

Some plugin-ideas that could be nice (not sure if they are all possible atm):

• Pinging the users when a new unread posts or chat message appears
• group chats? (public to everyone or with invites)
• Registration has to be accepted before allowed to be logged in
• Adding tags to topics (different from categories). Posts can be tagged with multiple tags!
• Some sort of tagging of users under their avatar. Like novice, ... These should be configurable by the amount of posts by that user + being able to be set per user manually (by the admins).

using that on my wp/vb sites now and it's a great way to cross promote site content if you are leveraging social media too.

I could use a donation button, atm I could past some code for a standard boring paypal button into the MOTD but then I would lose the banner in the MOTD, so no solution

Here's one that'll make it easier to monetize the forum: An ad plugin that will automatically and dynamically add display ads from AdSense or any other ad provider to the beginning of a topic (floated left, right, or centered), and at the bottom of the topic, just before the beginning of replies or posts.

And if it can be configured so that the admin can ad ads to any portion of a topic, for very long topics, it'd be nice too.
