Click on search magnifier leads to login, but if logged in search magnifier does nothing, after clicked ...

Hi all,

I upgraded yesterday from 1.10.2 to 1.11.1.

Some things striked me:

under widgets, applying the right for groups is now dropdown, but was checkboxes before.
I would prefer the checkboxes instead, the dropdown is somehow confusing ...

But my main problem is, if I am not logged into my forum, i can press the search magnifier button on top right.
This leads me to login. Ok, not that of a problem.

But If I am logged in and I press the search maginifier button, just nothing happens.
No error in the console, though.

Before the update search worked, after being logged in ...

BTW:
If I am logged in as admin, search magnifier works as expected

Could anybody help?
What did I do wrong during the update, or am i just missing a little "switch" in the admin area?

Even after clearing the browsers cache.
