@julia mhmmmm ...
Optional thing required to enable email confirmation is required to login..
I think it may help to prevent fake email users.
Genuine email with verification only the option to access the forum then automatically they Register and verify the email.
Now they just typing random words followed by @gmail.com and automatically it logged in without verifying email..
If they put random email also it should not redirect to logged in state from Registration page.
Whether they again put that email, password it should not log in, and it should give an error email confirmation is required to login please click the verification link sent to your email.. something like that..
Can't login with admin [Merry Christmas]
So, after installation, and finally getting everything up and running, I accessed the forum. I went to the admin dashboard, and tried entering my mongoDB admin username/password as I'm supposed to, no?
But I get this error:
Login Unsuccessful Invalid login credentials
I searched for possible solutions, but there is none. I was able to create another account, and login with that one, but the admin account is a no go. So if I go to 'users', there's an admin account and the account I created.
What could possibly be causing this?
In the console, I receive this:
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 (Forbidden)
If that's any help. I sort of feel like my mongoDB is somehow configured improperly, but I do not see how, as I followed all instructions. But which DB should I use? As the instructions said to create two users, an admin username/password (in admin DB) and a nodebb user/password(in nodebb DB). So accessing mongo, should I say
use nodebb, or
use admin? I've tried both, though, no luck.
Hmm, is there any way that I can access my admin username/password?
Thank you, and Merry Christmas!
Your mongodb password is not the same as your admin login credentials. Those are input when you run
Ok, I wasn't too sure. What is the admin login credentials then? Or where do I get(or set) those?
Did you ever run
./nodebb setup? If so, you would have set the credentials there.
Otherwise, you can
./nodebb setupagain, it should generate admin credentials and print them out last.
yes, I'm pretty sure I did. I don't remember what I did though.. Should I run
use nodebb? Because there are two, I think set up:
so, in mongo:
@username1001 yes that should work. Then run
