I believe this is possible with some minor theme changes.

They have been planning on doing something like this for a while, but with the NBBPM site itself. Adding abilities to report plugins and have them pulled from the official list, etc
for is synchronous, so you will need to require the async library. That library has an async.each() function which is an asynchronous version of forEach.
