I am getting exactly the same errors! Just attempted to install on both Centos and Ubuntu, same exact errors on both! please fix!

@J4ckk3 Hey! This is happening to me too, this error that you describe is happening totally the same as me. Knowing this, I think it is a general failure of NodeBB.

Use npm i [email protected] until the issue is fixed in jquery. Issue for tracking https://github.com/jquery/jquery/issues/4665

@baris Spectacular !, I updated the dependency as you suggested, added --save to it, at first it didn't work, then I ran ./nodebb upgrade and the issues were resolved

@baris Sorry, school got in the way of me responding. I'll try downgrading jQuery. Thank's for the help, I was really confused.
