install nodeBB in windows

looking into that link, it looks the nodeBB works with Redis database instead of MongoDB if it is installed in windows. is that correct?

What is python used for ? I cannot see any place python is used. thanks.

You can use mongodb on windows as well.

Redis for Windows is not well supported. In fact, it's not even officially supported by Redis. I always use Mongo on Windows. (and I dev on Windows) because Redis is a pain to set up.

Python is used for build scripts for dependencies AFAIK. This may no longer be necessary.
