Are you aware of the nodebb app in the google play store? You can see its source here. https://community.nodebb.org/topic/6560/nodebb-android-app

I did a super-simple iOS app in Swift (https://github.com/segura2010/exodobb-for-iOS) for a forum.
It was my first iOS app, so design is not beautiful, and code is not well organized.. but it works well and is very fastThen I started working in a Android app, i called it bbTalk. It allows to manage different accounts for differents forums (yes, just a tapatalk for NodeBB forums). The code is better than the code for iOS app, but I am doing the app in my free time, so the app is not finished
I haven not publish the code, but I would like to publish it on Github. Basically because i am doing a library to use the rest API and WebSockets of NodeBB, so it could be interesting for others apps. Some pics of the iOS app:

Hey guys
In general, here is our official position on apps: we think they're great but not worth the additional effort
Keep in mind that maintaining each additional environment would double our workload, as we would have to fix bugs across all environments. It would essentially slow down our fixes, split our focus, and cause new features to take much longer to deliver.
Our experience lies with web apps, so we'll anything else would require additional resources (read: devs) we don't have.
There is definitely a need for apps, although we're more in favour of a simple Webview shell loading the website, as opposed to a separate app with its own logic.

Agree, webview thing is good as well, but nothing can beat native apps. But i am very happy that node bb is already truely responsive which serves the purpose of a native app at the moment, but if u guys get the dev, then considering apps will be good idea for node bb popularity
