What the heck is turbo speed?
Edit: I was also going to make a joke about using 4 cores to browse facebook... but given the shenanigans the Facebook app does on Android... maybe you will need all 4 cores

I am planning to build a NAS server. Any suggestions? Thinking about using a 4U server chassis with hot swap drive bays.

Eehhh... My NAS solution is a single drive Synology DS112j with a 2TB WD green... For a single core 1.1Ghz... It's slow... I rarely touch it beyond my music library.
Anyways I did a ton of research on the Xeon cpu. And my question that remains is a odd one. Can it work without a microcode update. That's the only thing I'm scared off.

86 posts already?! Anyhow, I've refused to do this. But oh well, here you can see my mess I call a desktop.
And as a extra, you can see a neat fully OEM Acer server who's worth looking at.

well, since it is. Thats why, its a HP IPIBL-LB Codename Benicia motherboard, it was mostly for desktops back in 2007-2008. And I have to update this outdated junk to support a Xeon CPU, fun stuff ^_^. Hope I don't brick it.
