Who is using NodeBB?
-
GroveSocial's latest community went up last night. Only five users now but it's not even a day yet. If you are into Reel Fishing, come and hang out.

I've finally released my new site with nodebb 2 days ago, so I wanted to make this list bigger. There is more and more people using nodebb and it's nice to see that. It's an Esport/Game community, I've only customized a bit nodebb to match the design of the site.

Well you already have me down in your list, but thought I would drop by and say hi from everyone here at Team Kano
I deal with the general running and administration of the lovely forums, most crucially making sure it stays looking pretty
I come to the NodeBB forums looking for enlightenment and assistance in dealing with nuisance spammers

@a_5mith - No good m'duck, I've recently moved up to the Lake District National Park
@baris - We have this installed and configured with akismet key etc, doesn't seem to be stopping the spammers we have, recently I have just changed the forum setting to prevent flooding of posts by using the following settings:
- Seconds between Posts
- Seconds before new user can post
Setting them to 90 and 50 respectively. Unfortunately this setting doesn't seem to have prevented them from posting substantially more threads than this within the timescale. I'll create a proper thread for all this later

Im just setup an NodeBB forum, nice to meet you all! http://vnchef.com

@a_5mith - yeah it was pure coincidence, we've been looking to replace the forum for quite some time.
Oh, and the url is http://forum.motorcyclenews.com - we've migrated >44K users and >660K posts.
I'd be interested to know how you went about preserving passwords, did your old software use the same encryption or did you create some form of fallback for first time use?
