Subscribe follow a forum

Not sure if this is already here and I'm just missing but it would be nice if you could follow or subscribe and any new threads - you'd get an email notification.

If it's there - let me know that I'm blind. Thanks.

Currently, functionality exists for watching a topic for new replies. I believe in the backend, NodeBB keeps track of new topics per user, so it may very well be possible to allow users to follow categories in the next version of NodeBB

@julian Great to hear. It's nice for certain forums to be able to get a notification if someone posts there or not.

Currently you'll get an e-mail if someone @mentions you, right?

Not an email, but a notification. Tentatively, in v0.2.1, you can opt-in to be emailed when somebody notifies you.

@theepiphany Your email server might be working fine, but the way NodeBB handles emails could definitely use improvement. That's my primary focus for the next patch version of NodeBB.
