Host Nodebb Free

@UnknownGeek Its basically 5 commands on a VPS or dedicated server.
And if you want a reverse proxy there will be some config edits but nothing too hard.

Scrap that, anyone know if the current docs really describe how to install nodebb on openshift? I ran through it and I was never asked to set up admin info, and even when I registered and logged in the /admin route was unavailable. When I logged out I got stuck because the /login route was also blank. Seems a little off.
Also running through this, seems like the installation process is perfectly suited to becoming a cartridge, if all that's missing from the install really are a couple of environment variables for a configuration file.
I tried it eight months ago and could not get NodeBB on OpenShift. Have not tried since.

Someone at least has managed to do it: http://forum-hamak.rhcloud.com/ I assume the docs were made because someone got it right.

That looks like a version prior to 0.4.2, there's no tags, groups etc. Maybe an issue with the later versions of NodeBB and Openshift.

I've been going on the same $10 + bonus I put into Digital Ocean since I first came across the NodeBB site many moons ago. Not saying the freebies are not viable depending on the situation (aka a private forum for a few friends or whatever), but I know from running bigger production forums those free sites just can't handle it.
Hell even some of the cheaper paid solutions suck. One of my car sites started on GoDaddy with it's own account. Outgrew it in a week. Went to a new host with a shared server plan. Outgrew it 2 weeks later. Has been on a dedicated host for 3-4 years now running like a champ.

@Steve Digital Ocean are really bloody good for the price. Their referral program has earned me about 3 years hosting currently.
Agree *1,000,000
Cheap, effective, can test for a week and dump it until next time, etc. I tried setting nodeBB up on my dedicated server and it was more hassle than it's worth and I didn't want to change services putting my bigger forums at risk. This is the perfect solution for me in the land of undecided projects

Snippet
They're even better now they've combined with Mesosphere.
https://digitalocean.mesosphere.com/
Mesosphere on DigitalOcean combines all your Droplets into one โbig computerโ on which you can seamlessly run all of your apps and services. Deploy quickly, scale easily and keep your apps operating dependably.

Very Good but HapHost is very very BAD.
NodeBB don't work.
128 Mb of RAM are to few.
Already installing plugins the site crash, because VPS arrives at the maximum of RAM.
OMG. Very Bad.Without do NOTHING.
