Ok, here is how I perceive this. It's a matter of perception and orientation.

What is a blog fundamentally?

Maybe it's like a forum with only 1 user! - Ok lets say it is.

So when you land on that 1 user forum, what do you first see?

Why a summary of the most recent posts titles, and a few lines of each posts with a click to read more option.

Is any or all of this something nodeBB is not able to do?

The answer to me really seems to be NO! Well that's good right?!

How about something like this in ACP:

General > Hompage > Homepage Route > Blog (new w/options)

Simple Blog option in Admin:

Assign user/s. (now they can only create new topics in that category) Display post Title Only - T/F Display Title & Post Summary - T/F If Summary, display first; 1-10 (more or full post) Allow users to post moment T/F (default no)

If this is not already possible using a combo of current "custom" home page route and theme adjustments, then how about a native implementation for even the basic functionality?

NodeBB is a very capable platform and the persona theme out of the box is excellent. Possibly my favourite of all forums.

Going a little further, the native aspect might see that the typical forum buttons and paraphenalial may not be switched on/for this section to give it more of a blog look, with possibility for at least a link to the "forum" - thus giving a very clean and speak landing page look, to differentiate between blog type content and the rest of the forum.

Also, Can we we use emoji on topic title?

This is completely different and much more complex request.
To achieve functionality I am askin gfor, they have just add a new settings for 'always be able to edit first post' and when checking, if user is allowed to edit post skip checks of 'time, while allowed to edit' setting.

No need to add wiki functionality, just a small tune for posts editing time settings, which are already in core.

You can probably do it with a cron job and an sh script

I would think that to do this you would want one of the users in the conversation to have a "Report Conversation" button. When pressed, it would say "By pressing this, you acknowledge that you are sending a copy of this conversation to a community moderator and the contents of this private communication will be exposed to a third party." Then, once pressed, the admin either gets emailed a record, or gets an interface to view the record, or maybe gets added as a transparent (or not transparent) third party to the "room".

There are many test and spam accounts that we delete and nextUid remains the same. I wonder if we could have a feature to update nextUid to the next available Uid automatically or something.

Can you please make the front page appearance like discourse? Please add automatic backup option in google drive and FTP to vps Please add automatic cloudflare support, because we are facing problems everytime we are installing new nodebb. Admin login does not work with cloudflare.

I'm using NodeBB as an interface for an app, more like a crowdsourcing hub. The forum is okay, but sometimes the communication is more dynamic and people have to either speak on the phone, use other apps or meet in person.

For new forums or for forums with small user base, a cross-forum chat room would be very engaging.
For the UI I'm imagining something like DC++ looked like in the old days.

This idea fits in different scenarios. At least in mine it does. The chat room would be an extension of the forum.

How do you find the idea?

This is important.
Export logs from the forum in csv format or anything else.
(admin panel / advanced tab)

I think adding a user style change settings in nodebb would be a good option. Especially that other forum engines like discourse have this feature for a long time.

If you hover on the avatar, that card appears but if you click the avatar, the old one shows up too.

Is there a way we can turn off the default card system?

I've been struggling with this and I've posted before and the solution was to run a script and a plugin to have all users Ignore a category. That causes a whole other set of issues.

The situation is that we have categories that are very noisy and of very low value to anybody but the (usually only 2) participants. For these categories I would like the following "Quiet Mode":

Topics do not appear in All Unread, All Recent, nor All Popular Topics do not appear in Suggested Topics nor any other widget list Topics do not appear in the email digest Topics would not be considered "Ignored" so they would still show up in pick lists so that you can filter on them.

If you're good with this, I can file something in Github. I wanted to post here first before.
