@psychobunny No - everyone has the proper write permissions. Even threads where i have quoted in the past have it missing. I'll update core a bit later and see if that might resolve it.

The plugin needs a bit of work as @julian keeps QQing about https://github.com/psychobunny/nodebb-plugin-desktop-notifications/issues It's not part of core, and in the near future I'd like to resolve them!

During installation when the question is, IP or Hostname to bind to (0.0.0.0), isn't it a bad idea to default to any IP?

A couple questions... What security measures do you take when users upload content to the website? I notice that the upload icon in this reply-editing box is an image whereas on the instance I'm hosting, it's an upload icon. Is there any way to specify who can upload what when? Thanks!

Was thinking of a potential plugin for this at some point (ex, arrow pointing to register button). @trevor, I remember some initial version of convoe had some help tooltip that was pretty cool, it zoomed across the page and stuff and told you about the keyboard shortcuts, etc. What was this lib or was it custom?

All in all an amazing plugin in its day and I can't wait to see a modern NodeBB version of this. In fact, if anybody has any PHP experience and is interested in helping me port over the code, I'd love to talk to you

I'm using the Git implementation in PhpStorm, one of the best IDE Git integrations I've seen. Visual Studio can learn a thing or 2000 from that.

if you have a big signature like yours though, the post will have some awkward amount of padding below... so I guess that would work only if you restricted it to one or two lines maybe. edit: also, you signature hog!
