As the title suggests, can it be done? By default only the replies are sorted (Newest to oldest or vice versa) but for some blog like topcis it would be very useful if this could be enabled ....

Ok I realized that the posts content need to be limited to around 95% so I tried to do it that way .posts .content { width: 95%; } .posts .content iframe { width: 112% !important; } But it seems like it's not working but then i used min-width: 100% and it seems to be what I want ... can anyobody explain me why? TIL pressing F5 in notepad will insert the Time & Date stamp. Which is nice, so probably I'll just write a script for myself to automate the timestamp insertion as it should not be dynamically on site loading/refreshing - also performance wise it might lead to issues. Don't know if there is a way to add this functionality to the composer though - similiar like for the emojis. If there is a comprehensive guide to do so or at least to get started with it I'll add it to my todo-if-too-much-time list.

Coming back to this as searching is something which matters. Have not been here for a while, maybe there are probably also ai-related plugins available which help for better searching?

What's the best workflow for users to keep track of their interessts? I am aware of the bookmark feature, but is there a way to also have such a personalized overview/start page but for categories. Like watched categories but different as it should be independent from the notification decision. Sounds confusing I know but the reason is that a user wants to have his personalized category page which I somehow do understand. Or is there a plugin which does what I kind of have in mind?

Ok, I think I got it - had to drop the original db before restoring. Now it seems to work #fingerscrossed

@schajuli I feel like this should work, but I'll have to try it and see if I can reproduce the issue you're seeing. The pidfile errors are probably because the files you copied over don't have the right permissions.

I have set up a local instance for testing before I had access to the server and set up a lot of things there - now before going productive I am facing some questions: What's the best way to migrate from the test environment to the productive server? What I've done so far is: setting up nodebb and mongo on the new server mongodump the test environment and zip the nodebb folder in the test environment installing all the plugins on the new server What's next? Would it be a good idea to simply restore the db and dump the saved nodebb folder on the new server or is this having critical effects/not working at all? Moreover, I just noticed that the version on the new server is newer (v2.5.7 vs v2.5.2) than in the test environment. So I don't want to upgrade now my test environment so that worst case I can just use it to recreate the new setup. Therefore I thought about downgrading the new installation - but how? Simply download the previous version and then run the upgrade command again? Or is this minor changes not even noticable and I can try to ignore it? So many questions but there is not so much documentation available - at least those I find and understand as a non dev guy. Thx for your help!
