@gotwf
On advice from @phenomlab I uninstalled the plugin, rebuilt, installed plugin again, rebuilt and it was ok.
This had also happened to himself before.
@gotwf
I never really intended installing a GUI but gave it a try. For a lot of things it is much easier and I probably am one of those more comfortable with that
Anyway, I had some help from @phenomlab and basically after removing the plugin I then installed using this method.
npm install git+https://github.com/amargon/nodebb-plugin-discord-notification
As I was told it may not be the best method however it worked and the plugin works fine now. As soon as the GitHub version is merged probably best to move back to 'traditional' install.
Thank you for your reply
@PitaJ
Latest NodeBB and
Node 14.7.3
Not tried disabling plugins? I don't have many. This is fresh install. Still cannot add some plugins through git either. Others say on here that they work with latest NodeBB. Not for me.
I will try what you said...bye bye forum lol...lets see.¨
###UPDATE####
It worked. I can now logout properly and get to ACP in the first attempt (without logging out and in again)
Thank you.
I will mark this now as solved.
That is on the basis that this only happened when I was running nodebb as a service.
I have changed nothing other than removing the service and the plugin page loads no problem. I will try later and add the service again and see if i can reproduce the error.
We log UTC time because then it doesn't matter where your server is or where you live. This isn't likely to change, but as I said, you can always ask on GitHub.
@pitaj
Thank you. I tried it but nothing.
I did ./nodebb build after the reset and it is ok again. Panic over.
Much appreciated as always. Sorry for noobness.
Sampo.
Hi, I would like to add some groups. Clan Member for example for gaming...
But when I click the + button the window comes up to name it and describe it but then nothing happens. It cannot get created.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
UPDATE: Need to add the group like clan-member and not write it Clan Member
@sampo2910 of None is the only option that works, then that's probably the only one your email provider supports. It should be fine as long as you don't need your emails to be perfectly secure.
