@dwineman nope.Filament racks have been mounted with this system for just about a year. Printed in plain PLA.They’re holding 50 kg or so. Multiple anchors, of course, but still under quite a load.

@raykrueger you're not wrong, although a lot of stuff is configurable in Marlin as well to be fair, it's just not very ergonomic to make changes. Tinkering with defines and Cross-compiling microcontroller code and fiddling with bootloaders is kind of a drag.

@Triffen yeah, i think the difficult thing is that I’m actually competent at Cura and don’t really want to switch but the lack of good profiles for my new printer is a forcing function.I do, however, like that Orca isn’t run by a printer company. Unlike Cura/PrusaSlicer.

@larsrosenquist @jawnsy well, that all predates recent moves. I’d guess the agreement doesn’t cover enterprise at lower tiers (which would be silly from an overhead perspective).Then there is Garnet: it’s actively being worked on quickly recently. And Azure Linux…I dunno, but I’d love to know what’s going on inside that team: lots of smoke, no fire yet.

@newhinton @dalias The jury is still out for me. I do like it thus far, but we'll see in a few weeks how I feel.So far, I would not recommend it for beginners, but it may be a good printer for the right person.
