@sgsax yep. I was looking for shop lights and dismayed they were all integrated now. Give me a cheapo fixture and some standard, replaceable,long, fluorescent like LED array.

@linux_mclinuxface I’ve used Marketplace once, and it worked out fine, but there’s something about it that feels skeezy to me. I have no problem with eBay, and I’ve bought/sold lots of things there since 2000. I catch myself zombie scrolling on IG because it will just keep feeding you stuff. When it comes to Mastodon, I go until I get caught up on my feed and then walk away. It’s filled with things I really care about anyway.

A few of the paperback novels are now going for over $100 used and yet they are still producing new books which (somewhat) depends on their content.Anyway, after years of looking for some of these books, I've now found them locally. I'm driving an hour each way to pickup 29 book in the series on Saturday.I have to wonder what sort of mess WoC has on their hands that got themselves into this situation.2/2

@Kellyshenanigans Unstructured chat is a very different thing, imho. I wouldn’t join such a local thing - signal to noise ratio isn’t great and chat fatigue from work (eg slack) is a real thing. Group chats with my neighbours are bad enough, I can’t imagine scaling it up.I think things like discord are pretty polarizing: people tend to love it or hate it.
