Plugin Failed to lookup view on NodeBB 1.4.0 Release

Very nice NodeBB 1.4.0 here, but i can't config some plugins after installed

Failed to lookup view "admin/plugins/imgur" in views directory "/nodebb/public/templates"

How can i fix this? Or downgrade 1.3.0 release?

@PitaJ Thanks you! Problem solved. Didn't look like NodeBB 1.3.0 i don't need to run ./nodebb build before i restart NodeBB

Hi @Netto-Hikari, thanks for your feedback about our upgrade process 😄 We definitely try to make the upgrade process fluid and straightforward, but if files have been changed, then yes, there will be problems as git will not know how to handle changed files.

Re:

When it comes to upgrades, I just simply follow the docs and it always says that I have to commit the changes before.

Did you mean Step 3? As far as I know, the only thing we ask admins to do before upgrading is back up their data. If you have never changed any of the core files, git should never complain.

If this ever happens, and you are absolutely sure you didn't change anything, then you are advised to run the following:
$ git fetch # to grab the latest code (but not apply it) $ git reset --hard origin/v0.5.x # force your local files to match the NodeBB repository *EXACTLY* $ ./nodebb upgrade # then proceed with upgrade as usual
^ Hooray, more unsolicited advice from strangers on the internet 😄

After running those commands, future attempts to git pull should not have git complain.

I work on nodebb 1.5.3 and accidentally made the grave mistake of installing a plugin using ACP and ended up losing all my development repos of non 'npm'ed plugins. At that point I decided to upgrade to latest 1.7.3 release since a fix (#6032) for this issue was supposed to be committed into that build. While I checked breaking change lists for 1.6.0 and 1.7.0, apparently I have over looked something since my list/grid topic-list show up all messed up (with no errors in console). I have a bootstrap based listview and gridview of the topics and I use JS code to select between them but now my page layout is gone like one of the libraries is not loading but I am not sure which one since I don't use anything other than jquery and bootstrap.I cannot figure this out but suspect it may be issue (#5980.) Any help would be appreciated and thank you in advance.
