Search - why doesn't it exist?

Hi,
new to Nodebb, very impressed. But searching for stuff I understood, there is no search in Nodebb. You want to leave everyone his choice? Is there a plugin?

Plugins, plugins, plugins. They've moved it out the core to give everyone a choice on what they prefer.***** Not sure of the ETA on a Search Plugin, but I would say it'll be coming fairly soon hopefully. I believe theres an elastic search plugin? Not sure on the status of that one either.

absolutely. in order to find out about a search plugin I used Google https://www.google.de/?q=search+plugin+site:http:%2F%2Fcommunity.nodebb.org

Yeah this forum is on Edge so that we can use you guys to help us stability test

The latest stable version of NodeBB is v0.3.2 and the search functionality is intact for that version, so for production you should really use that until 0.4x comes out.... soon

Aarrgghh!! I could have used a warning somewhere. I'm trying to deal with a bunch of bugs right now, having just pulled the latest. And of course search is missing...
I shouldn't complain. You guys have built an incredible piece of software. Thanks

If the search feature was removed, you can be sure that the devs are working on a replacement solution.

If you follow our trend, we should've released v0.4.0 last Thursday (one minor version per month), but this one's an unusually large revision, so it may take a little longer
