Setting up nodebb-plugin-featured-topics-extended

I'm sure I've missed something obvious here, but I'm having trouble configuring the nodebb-plugin-featured-topics-extended plugin. It's exactly what I need for my site, so I'd appreciate any help getting it running.

The plugin has installed correctly, I have activated it, and reloaded nodebb.

I've started configuring the widgets on the news.tpl page, and have selected newly created topics to be featured under the Topic Tools. But all I get are empty panels with no content.

Did I miss a step?

I have the same issue. Trying on nodebb 1.1.0
Do you have an instruction - how to adjust this plugin?

@Claus I'm not having any issues in 1.1.0, can you describe the problem you are having in more detail?
