Editing the template

So I had a newly installed nodebb.
And I decided to modify the appearance a bit, I know that all the files were in node_modules/nodebb-theme-lavender , and they were compiled when I start nodebb,
so how come I dont see the change after I tried modifying the .tpl
Some say that it kind of inherited from persona so I tried changing persona , and it still doesnt work, I must have misunderstood something , Thanks .

Did you reload NodeBB after you modified the tpl?

lavender is actually inherited from vanilla not persona. If the tpl exists in lavender then modifying it in the parent won't make a change.
