Any suggestions anyone?
What would they like to see in a theme?
Layouts, Modules, Styling
Please leave a reply and ill see what i can do
-
I made a feeble attempt to create a custom theme using Lavender as base. The aim was to have a sidebar on all the page. I tried to do that by removing the sidebar code from home.tpl and inserting into a <div> tag in footer.tpl. Long story short, it worked to some extent, but not as I wanted.
I think the best option would be to create a sidebar.tpl that is called from every page. If that can be done and the integrity of the home page is maintained, I think you'll have created a theme that most commercial publishers want.
What do you think.

I will see what i can do and thanks @planner for the idea
-
@planner something like this http://puu.sh/6F9zE.jpg
-
Yep. did you accomplish that with a separate sidebar.tpl?
Btw, that's what I got, but the home page, because of the Bootstrap CSS classes used, did not hold up.
-
i applied this directly to the topic page, by adding a col-md-9 to the ul class, and the sidebar using a col-md-3
@planner -
Cool! That gives me an idea.
-
@julian @psychobunny @baris Please move this thread to the theme area

Done and done.

Looks like we have enough competition out there to start a Theme Weekend Contest or something
