How to change the group header image?
-
On the groups page (for example: example.com/groups/administrators), there's a black header image. Any idea how I can change this?
-
On the group's profile page, mouse over the header image and there should be a "change" icon on the top right:
-
@psychobunny I suspected it was possible to change the image but I don't see a "change" button on hover. I'm using Persona and viewing my site with the Chromium browser. Not sure if this is a bug?
-
Are you a member of the group?
-
@psychobunny Yes, I'm an admin and the group I'm testing is my administrators group.
-
@henrywright By any change are you the owner of the group?
-
I tested with Chrome and Chromium and mouseover shows nothing on both.
-
Ye that seems like a small overlooked thing, There is no way to assign your self a owner of the group. And this means that you cant change the image the normal way. This is due the fact that you need group ownership to change settings like background image and kicking members. (What is kinda not a good idea to do for the administrator group) A workaround can be creating another pseudo 'Admin' (No need to to permissions since users of that group will be past of the system admin group anyways) group and assigning your admins to that while hiding the system group.

@henrywright apparently not, seems like somewhat as a oversight to me
-
@henrywright I'm sure @psychobunny will note it if I secretly mention him

When you have the choice between opening an issue or tagging me, choose the former because I have the memory of a goldfish

@psychobunny Haha, good to know. This shall do the trick
