Introducing the NodeBB 0.7.0 Persona preview
-
I'm running NodeBB v0.7.0-dev.
Edit: I've run git pull and upgrade. All problems have been fixed. Thank you a lot.
I love how persona looks clean and nice but as others have said before, it would be great if we have an option to keep the old magazine-like homepage.
-
Hm.. something we missed on agiletesters is the lighter font color on a thread we already saw and there is nothing new on that..
-
It actually does exist, although I don't think we're happy with it - the colored bar on the right becomes grey if there's nothing new. Might revisit that one, doesn't seem way too obvious
EDIT: how about this?

@baris me too...lol
@psychobunny ... its much better
-
1 more thing... lavander have more widget places ( 1 global, 1 home, 1 category home, etc) ... i miss that on persona... (side bars on login /register page are not cool... )
also..other people on AT says that they miss the last threads / last replys on the first page.. i will give a try later tonight on some css on the available widgets.. then i will show u guys (or maybe a fork with ..recent page with last 5 threads replys + home page categories dunno....)
-
upgrade to 0.1.5 with error.. (through the plugins page)
Erro Appears to be a git repo or submodule
-
.... i need to figure out how nodebb calls the pages.. cz i tried to merge recent.tpl + categories.tpl just to checkout but with not sucess... (doesnt show the categories or doesnt show the recent threads..)
also i got a weird error trying to edit my other reply.. lol
-
Images and videos cause the page to become too wide on mobile (horizontal scrolling).

@a_5mith Haha that might have been caused by a fix that I made.
I wrapped the title in a span looks like it gets the styling from that now
You had me thinking it had always been like that and I just hadn't noticed. Thought I was going slightly insane.
May also be nice to get an
<hr>
between the topic title and the first post, like we did with Lavender, the sort by and watch look slightly lost without it. -

lol same here, apparently.

updated community
EDIT: actually updated now.

I'll play around with this idea

@psychobunny What's the green tick for when you click an avatar? It's not very clear what it does.
Tried uploading an image, getting an ECONNREFUSED error. So I'll have to do it manually. Also can no longer embed an imgur image directly from imgur, it's supplied without the protocol, which doesn't embed. Have to add http/https:// prior to the URL.
-
@a_5mith It's the replacement for the checkbox in vanilla and lavender to select the topic and use the thread tools to delete, lock, pin.... topics.
It was not clear to me either. I clicked on the avatar accidentally and that's how I knew how to select a topic in persona
-
I do like Persona, it's light weight and has a feel you can get used to.
It's no where near the magazine effect of Lavender, but it's the plain design I think would come default with any forum software.
It's definitely a great basic look, with the option for the user to change after installation.
Nice work I think. If anythings missing now it's probably widget's / added content

Makes sense. May need to be made a little more obvious. Perhaps on hover it could have a light grey tick.
