@sebastián-cisneros In static:api.routes, you'll want to call controllerHelpers.setupAPIRoute to mount the route to the appropriate /api/v3/plugins mount point.
You can see an example of how we do it in the quickstart plugin
Yeah it has to be a registered member name, I will take a look why it doesn't show in unread messages.
Defiantly not registering the feed posts, had 7 post come through but nonew posts showing.
Well the posts right now won't show up under /unread for the person who is posting the feed. So if you put your own username in the plugin it will post as you and you won't get it under /unread. Other users should see it there though.
It's very nice plugin.
Some article did not link back to original post but some did.
I tested on Thai Language RSS
Tested on Lao Language RSS
I put 3 news sources into same Category
Oh btw, if we have prefix on each news, it might be helpful for our readers to identify the news sources.
@amerilao nice, a Thai forum! any chance you'd be translating a language pack for Thai / Laos?
Hi there, after upgrading to 0.3.0, it seems like
The category field cannot be selected.
Works for me on latest. Did you clear cache? Any errors in the browser console?
Tried on mobile firefox
Will check the browser error later
@baris I just tried with chrome, it did not show any error, i simply have no choice when it come to the selection.
Do you see all the categories listed in the categories section?
yes i have categories.
@julian one interesting thing. I m unable to run the ~/admin/testing/categories
it simple stop working, nothing show in console. the browser just stop!
@quahfamili Don't worry too much about that -- we took those tests out for now
For my instance, the categories unit test totally stop working. Once i check on the unit test, the admin page hungs. No error is seen on the console.
Need some help
Just updated your instance again @quahfamili -- you shouldn't see those tests anymore :x
I like it so much
Maybe an option later to pull the feeds into one topic ? For some contents its can be better.
Anyway to populate the RSS feed plugin from a text file ?
i.e. feed.txt containing
and import that in a database listing that can also be selected on the 'Enter the RSS feed URL' field ? Would make it easier if you are setting up alot of RSS feeds
Also need for a way to backup/export the existing RSS feed settings/url and forum association and import it into a different NodeBB instance ?
@baris, does the user already need to exist in the DB? If I want to scrape a sub-reddit, I should manually create the RedditBot user, right?
Yes the user that you put in the plugin page should be an existing user on the forum. You can create one from the users page manually.
Awesome, it's working great. Some feeds have the HTML ascii and tags still, such as & and <td>. Would enabling the html-sanitizer plugin instead of the one in the Markdown plugin potentially fix that? I assume all feeds are piped through one of these.
@Guiri If you are seeing html tags like < and > in your post content, then they were escaped in the feed itself (probably). If they were imported as-is, they would've been sanitized out by the markdown plugin.
That is, if you specifically see things like <tr><td>, then the post content probably reads
<tr><td>, and is not detected as HTML, since it's actually just escaped text.
