Hey guys, i'm originally a Vnlla user and i have an idea of making a like an importer from all sorts of forums softwares.

so far i see nodeBB have a great potential

You would install nodebb-plugin-import only and the plugin will guide you through how to get your chosen software into NodeBB.

@a_5mith @termnml mates you got any idea if the porter supports 404 redirects especially the old contecnts from the old forum software that is indexed by google?

@bentael can give you more information, but the importer can create an output of the links so you can configure nginx to redirect it and preserve your search ranking.

@julian yep this is really a big thing to consider. Already submitted the data needed on the importer, i'd like to help but im still new in nodejs and nodebb. so far this is getting really interesting.

I dont understand what you mean by 404 redirects? can you provide an example
