Civ 5 is a great game, although I've been pulled away to Europa Universalis IV lately for my empire building gameplay.
As for MMO's I tend to stick with EVE Online exclusively just because it's fairly time and energy consuming.
You excited for Civilization: Beyond Earth?

It definitely has that feel, some mods have gone that far in some cases. It's definitely running off of the same engine, we know that at least.

Vanilla isn't that great once you've got Brave New World and Gods & Kings under your belt. They've got some pretty good additions to the gameplay but the DLC is expensive at the end of the day.

I went out and spent an undisclosed amount of money on a proper PC, after 4 years of owning just a laptop, I'd had enough. So I'm now a PC gamer, I've spent today playing War Thunder, which is actually quite good fun. I may pick up DayZ for the hell of it as I loved the mod, I know the DayZ SA is buggy etc, but it might be good one day.

@julian i recall the reason I stopped playing was because I lost full dragon armour and sword up in the wilderness.
That put me off the whole spend 3 weeks working for something, to lose it within 3 seconds. So I turned to FPS Games like BFBC2 and dayz. -

I would have replied late last night to stay within the theme of the thread but I was too tired. Plus I was busy watching Lord of the Rings while falling asleep.

i replaced their "web guy" who was a bad hack at best. his sites are total garbage. he gets mad i didn't give him admin access to make changes and moves the fucking name servers. not only replacing the nice site with this pile of shit. but killing the SEO value, emails, and everything else put into it.

Watching the late NBA game right now while responding to some emails. Lakers really suck ass they're not making the playoffs this year.. Don't really care though as a Knicks fan.

I played soccer with a guy who ended up a starting NFL QB. Granted we were in like 3rd, 4th, 5th grade at the time.
Bought it when it was on Steam summer sale, except I didn't buy any expacs, so I am playing vanilla 
... but I cheaped out and only bought vanilla instead of the complete game (for a measly $10 more)
