Asset base manager

Hey guys, I've been working on this on and off, and wanted to see what people think of it...

Our current media plugins (youtube, vimeo, soundcloud, etc) translate links directly into embedded assets (video player, etc), but I was wondering if something like this would be better:

The idea being the link in the text stays as is, and we auto-detect things (like youtube videos) and provide a link out to the asset itself.

The downside is that right now, there's no way to play the youtube video in NodeBB itself...

The "asset base manager" itself is just a base plugin that provides a friendly interface for developers to hook their already existing plugins (i.e. youtube, vimeo, soundcloud) into the bottom section there...

Wow, looks more organized like this, I like it. Images should be assets as well (w/ perhaps using a Lightbox?)

Right, a lightbox was exactly what I had in mind... maybe throw a bootstrap modal with some custom html output via the plugin (for the iframe embeds etc).

Will have to experiment with client-side scripts...!
