@Abdu77 Like said above, install Emoji's extended, and for the 502 error, consult Leet since your forum isn't hosted at NodeBB, keep in mind that NodeBB requires some technical skills to keep online.
Emojis are nice but how about our own smilies ?

I guess having a branded smilie set is a trade mark kind of stuff for each forum script. I appreciate the intention of using Emoji for smilies but NodeBB has grown big enough to have it's own smilies. Your thoughts please...
-
This would be a fantastic idea! I would be in favor of using font icon smiles. But your own smiles using images would be nice too.
-
Who can forget these iconic smiles? XD
-
Site I used to go on had loads of custom ones. These date back as far as 2001.
-
More than that, why not allowing forums to use custom sets with NodeBB & Emojii installed by defaults.
Users could create sets of smilies (maybe some kind of spritesheet ?) and share them like a plugin or something. -
Allowing custom ones shouldn't be to hard to include in emoji-extended since it saves all ones in a directory with a list in
!index.list
.
I could add such an ACP option(deactivate automatic sync of emoji-cheat-sheet emoji and add custom ones)
But I'm off now for two days (and other priorities), so you'll have to wait

Hi,
I'm new to nodebb and I'm currently trying to migrate from an existing phpbb 3 installation. I already managed to write some custom javascripts to get the bbcode parser from the import plugin to work.
The most important problem left are the missing custom smilies. Was there any progress to this issue in the last months?
