Who is using NodeBB?
-
My site, the first node BB in Spainsh

Could it it be a possible future enhancement for the catogories to have the same as they are now where you can choose the color & icon but also have the option to upload a image to use instead of the color, keep the option to use the icons over the image, I ask this as I know it's going to take me a very long time to master enough of the coding to change this for myself.

Hi, I found out about NodeBB on Kano's website:
http://talk.kano.me/
It looks really promising!
Keep up the good work! -
thanks @tart2000
-
@baris, I'm using NodeBB on my site http://fivefoldkingdom.com
Any feedback is greatly appreciated! -
@dylenbrivera Your background image http://fivefoldkingdom.com/images/background.jpg is nearly 800kb! This is slightly too much to use on the web
-
@Joel Murphy, Appreciate the feedback! I'll change it once I find something more appropriate. Thanks!
-
I do like the background though. Maybe drop it in photoshop and optimize it, and make it a PNG instead. If you could get it to around 200kb or so that would be ideal.
Don't forget you might get mobile users, and if they're on a limited data plan you'll have some angry mobile users

updated the who is using NodeBB thread with some forums I found via google... 31 NodeBB's in the wild Hope that number keeps growing
-
@psychobunny, I got nginx proxy running now, so you can change mine to just http://digitalhydros.uhlhydroplanes.com/
That's still not the permanent url yet though (which is why I hadn't posted it in here yet).
-
@baris www.orgcoin.org will be using it when we launch. Orgcoin is a crypto-currency dedicated to supporting worthy causes as well as charities and non-profits. Our website needs some stellar community features and it looks to me like NodeBB has what we need without a lot of cruft.

There we go, http://infinitecrisis.brvy.me
It's not really customized yet, wanna get some people on the bandwagon.
-
I added a couple more to the list...
I think the list is starting to get pretty big haha (maybe move the list to a wiki page?)
and then unpin this, create a new topic "Interesting NodeBB Forums" or something (which also links to the full link on the wiki), that lists themed forums or at least are doing something that isn't just the plain default, ex. category images/layout -
Still working on ironing out bugs and things but this is my gaming forum
-
Mine and @Mr_Waffle home is http://bitbangers.co.uk
It is a general gaming, programming and dev forum.
