Deleted thread visible for all even if not allowed

    Hi guys, I've an easy question likely related to me being rusty.

    In one of my forum I'm seeing the deleted threads appearing in the category listing even though "view deleted posts" is active only for moderators. Is it expected? Shouldn't these threads being removed in the category view even if they were not purged but only marked as deleted?

    This could be cosmetic but I am not completely sure - however did you consider trying a build via terminal?

    My experience has been any quirky cosmetic behaviours like this (after changing settings, if noticed at the time) are usually fixed by a restart or even better a build, and more so via terminal but ACP instigated build/restart often works too, but if not revert to a ./nodebb build

    Non-privileged users should just see "This topic is deleted!" or "This post is deleted!". Their position is kept because it is rather difficult to keep track of the topics/posts based on who can view the post and who cannot.

    instead, upgrading from docker image: ghcr.io/nodebb/nodebb:2.8 to image: ghcr.io/nodebb/nodebb:3.0 I get this: ENOENT: no such file or directory, open '/usr/src/app/node_modules/csurf/package.json'

    edit: switched to normal install and I don't get this error anymore

    Blocking a user makes thread links a poor experience

    On one of the NodeBB communites I'm active on, I've blocked a user with the personal Block User option. After that block, I've had a pretty poor experience with entering threads through clicking on a notification and also with the auto-refresh after adding a post to a thread.

    Our forum's current NodeBB version is: 1.14.3

    When clicking on a notification (e.g. for upvotes or a reply/mention), I often get thrown into the thread with the post being notified for not even in the viewport, and the post referenced by the notification is not showing as highlighted by the time I find it. When auto-refreshing after posting to the thread, instead of the auto-refresh scrolling to the post I just made like I expect, I'm thrown back several posts, often to the point where even the post I was replying to doesn't appear on screen. I'm experiencing similar problems both in desktop mode (Windows 10 / Chrome latest stable) and on mobile (iOS / Safari)

    I suspect that most of the times I'm having problems, the blocked poster is the most current poster in the thread at the time I click the notification / post a reply (he's a very prolific poster), but I haven't really experimented with turning block on/off to verify that.

    I've also noticed that there's some weirdness in thread sorting as a result of the block (thread sorting on /recent, which is my default view, seems to sort based on the time of the actual last post, not the time of the last post I can "see"), but I can imagine that's probably more effort to fix than the value would justify.

    That sounds good!, I think you should check your plugin and make sure the ids are deleted from that object, it seems like this code should do it not sure why it wasn't cleared when you deleted all users.

    This is a sad song, I forgot to backup the avatars and pictures uploaded by the user.
    So I loss them all, and now them will be 404 when openning my site.

    I only know about deleting fields of 404 in the database, but this workload is too much.
    Who can tell me how to delete resources of 404 efficiently, thanks a lot.

    Hello, i would like to make special category when everyone can make thread - but only author of a thread can watch it and edit it, hide it from other users. Is it possible somehow to do? Closest way to this i was when i changed permissions, i disabled access to threads but enabled ability to create threads, but then nobody can see them obviously soo...is theres any way to do this?
