Using matomo with nodebb
-
I'm hoping someone else here uses matomo with nodebb.
I created a new measurable and put the tracking code in the custom css, header section of nodebb as I would with any other sites I am monitoring.
Oddly, I can see info such as number of visits in the last 24hrs, 30 minutes etc but nothing what so ever for anything else. No pages, entry pages etc info. The 'visits overview' is all 0's.
I'm stumped. Why would I be able to see some information and nothing what so ever for the more important, ongoing historical data?
The site is not on the same server as matomo so maybe there is some sort of remote access restriction to matomo that I'm not aware of. I looked into that in the past as well and found that didn't seem to matter as long as matomo could be reached on the Internet.

I used Matomo with NodeBB. Works nicely. Ran it for some while. Up until recently.
Have you double checked your reverse proxy and header configs? Hmm...

I would like to know what you are hinting at however as it might help in the future. I'm using nginx as the proxy on centos 8.Right. And the nginx config is particular. Did you use matomo's recommended nginx config matomo side? If not, I was positing perhaps some nodebb header munging might have been in the lurking.....
Great that you got it working. Matomo rocks for situations where you want to be in control of the "big data".

I don't think I used their nginx method because the nodebb server is dedicated to nodebb only and using nginx but the matomo is actually on another server that is running apache.Yes, matomo is pretty cool. I've been using it for a while now.

Well, then! Looks like my work here is done!
