nodebb-plugin-customize Not showing 2.0.0

Hello. I believe this post concerns @PitaJ , the creator of this plugin:

On the ACP plugins page, it shows nodebb-plugin-customize to only be on version 1.1.2 as shown in picture:

However, I believe this plugin is on version 2.0.0. Should I just wait till NodeBB 1.17.0 comes out and see if it changes? or should I use NPM to install it with

npm i nodebb-plugin-customize

where it is listed as 2.0.0.
Also I have had a bug on this plugin that prevented it from working, but @PitaJ said it should be fixed with NodeBB 17, but I'm wondering if the bug was just from the older version listed on ACP.

Should I install the newer version through npm (2.0.0) on 1.16.2, or just wait for 1.17.0 to come out and then install it?

2.0.0 of the plugin was refactored and now uses some NodeBB features only available in NodeBB 1.17.0

@dunlix I have version 2.0 of this plugin running on 1.16.2, and it works fine for the most part. There are various errors logged but it doesn't stop the plugin from functioning.
