Profile Pic Customization

Hello. In the NodeBB forum (this one) when you go to change your profile picture, you can choose the color and letter, etc. without uploading an image. What I'm wondering is, how can I add this as a feature to my forum, if I can? is it a plugin?

And help would be greatly appreciated.

I believe this is a feature of 1.17.0

@pitaj Does this forum run on 1.17,0? Also when will the non-beta for 17 come out? I like some of its new features but I don't want to use a beta bc it could be buggy.

1.15 and 1.16 felt "way rapid dev". Maybe it was just me. But... There "seemed" to be a fair number of glitches and gotchas with 1.16 so maybe some tech debt that escaped surveillance. I'm hoping a bit more rigorous testing experience for 1.17.
