Bleah.. Who is up for an installation challenge? (Upgrade an old forum problems)

And the saga continues. For those keeping track I am attempting to upgrade an old NodeBB forum (
v1.4.5) to a recent version. In this case the most recent,v1.12.1I have created, yet another, new server to deploy the upgraded forum to. This time around I have used Ubuntu 16.04.
I have copied over my redis database and brought over a tar ball of my forum directory. I laid down the redis database, untarred the tar ball and then immediately did the following steps.
Anyone want to take a stab at what is in my forum that is making the upgrade impossible to complete?

You shouldn't need to upgrade incrementally.
Hmmm... have you tried running
./nodebb buildby itself? -

I will delete the database and forum directory, lay down my tar ball and database dump (bringing everything back to
v1.4.5) and then “git fetch, git origin...”, then instead of a./nodebb upgradeI’ll try the build.Does this sound like a good plan?

@PitaJ I finally got back to this... Well, that seems to have helped. The forum is up as
1.12.1.I see at least one plugin in that is spewing errors on the console (in ./nodebb dev mode) so I will need to disable that one.
Big thing I see is that this does not seem to work any longer:
