I see it's optimized for Windows 10, does that mean it's not going to work on Windows 8. Kinda new to this but have basic knowledge of node

It should be essentially the same. I can't think of anything that would be different.

When I run circled command , above error occurred

configure: error: cannot run C compiled programs.
If you meant to cross compile,
use --host.

Thank you all for the responses and offering your time, I completely wiped the nodebb db in MongoDB and re-restored it and everything is functioning perfectly again. ☺
