getting excited about NodeBB 2.0 🙂 Any timeline tips or gossips? 😄
As always, when people ask when a certain version or feature is landing, the official response is: 🔜 😉
In other words, we have no idea, and when it's done it'll be released.
Today, April 22nd, 2014, marks an entire year since Andrew committed the first lines of code into the NodeBB codebase.
We've had an incredible year, celebrating mini-milestones like getting our first star outside the three of us (we're vain like that), or getting our first pull request, and I can say beyond the shadow of a doubt that we wouldn't be anywhere near where we were today without our dedicated community of users, plugin writers, and theme designers.

I guess a congratulations is in order On to the next year!
Congrats! NodeBB is pretty awesome. I am glad I found it. I love the new website design too. Pretty slick!
The new website and branding are @trevor's hard work! We really appreciate his contributions
**Happy anniversary to NodeBB! **
You guys have come a long way since the very beginning. I remember when I first adopted this forum as my primary one and ditched every other software. People will eventually see the power, speed, and friendly use of NodeBB soon enough.
2014 is definitely a strong year for you guys and it will only get better from here. Thanks for such an excellent forum software guys! And to the many developers that have spent hours helping and creating plugins, you guys are awesome!
Congrats pretty nice work so far.
I'm excited what you bring up within the next year.
Yet so many things to imagine...
@trevor the animation on the new website doesn't work on FF!
@Schamper Seems to work for me on firefox, although scrolling is a little less smooth than on Chrome
@julian I'm talking about the word carousel. It jumps from word to black to word for me on FF 28.
@Schamper Isn't this the way it's supposed to do?
At least it seems to work equal in Fx (28) and chromium here
What I think isn't supposed to be is the focused navbar item
#f7f8fb on white ^^
On Chrome and IE it fades.
We've updated the community's skin to match NodeBB's branding (courtesy of @trevor)
But now I can't see what the latest version of NodeBB is because that widget disappeared.
NVM, once again I miss something obvious. That is happening too much lately. It's just in the top widget kinda small now.
Haha Well I thought it took too much real estate for just showing the version. There's also an alert showing if your NodeBB is out of date in your ACP
