How are we doing for static page generation? Last time I tried none of the plugins worked. Is anything working for static page generation now?

It didn't work for me on 1.6, I don't want to mess up my system so I need to hear further confirmations. I already have a bunch of deprecated plugins that give warnings on the NodeBB log and won't go away with npm uninstall.

Also installing plugins doesn't work in latest Firefox (not Quantum) on Ubuntu 16.04 I have to use Chrome for everything to run smoothly.

Looks like it was updated to work. Just tested it on 1.7.0:

Latest FF (57) is FF Quantum. I'm on nightly (59) and installing plugins worked fine for me.
